Moshi Kids offers emotional education to the next generation through an entertaining and engaging world built just for kids. The app and original content serves ages 2-8 and supports kids through every type of social and emotional challenge – daily routines such as sleep, transitions, social issues and big feelings. We’re looking for smart, talented people to join our world class team based in London and the US.
About The Role
We are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to help create the next phase of this amazing app. This is an opportunity to bring life to the app through interactive UI that not only keeps users engaged and delighted, but helps them find the right content quickly. We are looking for someone with a love for all things beautifully designed, a kid at heart, and interest in child development and well being. You will be part of a small but growing design team where you will be supported and encouraged to uphold design thinking and best practice working within a cross discipline team.

Daily Responsibilities
- Using your UX/UI skills to create user flows, wireframes and engaging native app designs and UI
- Working closely with developers to ensure finished designs are code ready and the developed output matches the design handoff
- Managing and maintaining a design system, with attention to creating reusable UI components
- Creating interactive UI components and prototypes with Lottiefiles and ProtoPie
- Working in an agile cross-discipline team
- Upholding design best practices and ethics within a children’s application
Requirements and Skills
- In-depth commercial experience as a UI/UX designer working on consumer facing native mobile apps and/or games
- An online portfolio demonstrating your up to date design work on consumer facing native mobile apps and/or games
- Great end to end design skills with excellent attention to detail
- Fluency in our current design stack, Sketch , Abstract, ProtoPie, Miro, Adobe CC
- Collaborative attitude towards working in a hybrid agile environment with a cross-discipline team
- Proven experience using and contributing to a design system
- Experience working with native iOS and Android UI, following Apple Design guidelines and Google Material Design 2/3
- Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, or equivalent professional experience
- Passion for emotional well being or parenting tools
Nice to have
- Experience working on kids apps and/or games
- Experience working on wellness products
- Motion design and/or animation – AE
- Working knowledge of SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose or other declarative UI toolkits
- Passionate about inclusive design and accessibility, designing with all our users in mind
